Legal Support Organizations like MWC and TWC2 offer legal advice and assistance to migrant workers facing employment-related issues.

 

Medical and Mental Health Support - HealthServe and other organizations provide medical care, mental health counseling, and other forms of holistic care.

 

Financial Assistance - The MWAF and other organizations offer emergency financial assistance to migrant workers in need.

 

Shelter and Accommodation - HOME provides shelter and accommodation for vulnerable domestic workers.

 

Skills Training - HOME and other organizations offer skills training programs to help migrant workers enhance their employability.

 

Advocacy and Awareness - Organizations like TWC2 work to raise awareness about the challenges faced by migrant workers and advocate for fair treatment.

Government Support Initiatives

Migrant Workers' Centre (MWC) - Provides legal assistance through its Migrant Workers' Law Centre for issues like unpaid salaries and work injury compensation.

Ministry of Manpower (MOM) - Requires employment agencies to conduct post-placement checks to ensure smooth adjustment for migrant domestic workers (MDWs) and their employers.

Mandatory Rest Day - Employers are required to provide MDWs with at least one rest day a month, which cannot be compensated away.

Online Services - MOM offers online services like the Foreign Worker Address Service (OFWAS) to facilitate registration and updates of migrant worker addresses and mobile numbers.
